The Blue Starlite Cinema Social Manifesto 

 

The Blue Starlite Boutique Drive-in was built on 3 ideas: First, the idea that going to the movies is NOT just about what is NEW, it can also be about movies from another time that influenced us and now can be experienced in a whole new way, shared with new friends, family, and children. Which leads to idea 2: Going to the movies can be a celebration that can be shared in new ways, even with the little ones, a celebration of cinema for the “Post Hipster.” And idea 3: A movie theater can be anywhere, a farm, a garage, a parking lot, even in a secret place away from your normal social life, or hidden in a alleyway in the middle of a city, a destination!

With the Blue Starlite Cinema Social we add a new idea to the mix. What if going to the movies wasn’t just 1 stop on your night out, what if it was your whole night out, what if the experience was MORE than just waiting for the movie to start, and then walking out when the credits rolled, what if it connected people in new ways, and was an intimate experience shared with others?

The Cinema Social is a year round movie party and EVERYONE is invited! From our Cinematic Night Life to our “Reel Afternoon Outings” which we came up with after our two summers and many winters of wishing there were more options for places to take our little one to enjoy and kill a few hours during the snow filled or rain filled days.

With the Cinema Social we also are now branching out into NEW indie and art house films curated by our Blue Starlite friends from around the country who will share these movies with you in a personal way.

Netflix's CCO said “There’s a romantic notion about the film being on a big screen.
We have to get rid of the romantic part.” We love Netflix, BUT we are going to double down on the romantic part because we can all watch movies alone at home, but we can’t all always watch movies together, and actually SHARE the experience in a personal way, with old friends, and like minded cinematic strangers who could become new friends through classic and innovative NEW off the radar films.
